PVCu Windows

PVCu windows are ideal for both modern and old properties and have many advantages over traditional wooden window frames:

  • they are highly weather resistant with a long life expectancy
  • their size and shape is not affected by climatic changes
  • they offer efficient thermal insulation
  • they are very easy to clean

We take quality control very seriously and are proud to offer our customers a 10 year guarantee following installation.

What is the difference between uPVC and PVCu?

Our PVCu windows are available in a range of styles including:-

Hinged casement windows

A casement window is hinged either at the side or top and opens outwards, providing excellent ventilation and unobstructed views.  It is attached to its frame by one or more hinges and is opened by a handle which operates the locking system.

Tilt and turn PCVu windows

A tilt and turn window can be opened to two different angles, providing options in terms of ventilation.  By twisting the operating handle, the window can be tilted inwards, perfect for ventilating on a windy day, whilst a half-turn of the handle opens the window inward from the side. These different options mean that tilt and turn windows are very easy to clean both inside and out and for added safety, the can be fitted with a system which prevents them from inadvertently being opened too wide.

Vertical or Horizontal sliding sash windows

Traditional sash windows are moveable frames, or sashes, which hold one or more panes of glass.  They are extremely stylish, adding character, and can be fitted with authentic Georgian bars separating the individual panes within each sash. Our PVCu double-glazed sash windows are available in a range of classic styles whilst offering all the benefits of modern windows and security features.

All the windows manufactured and supplied by Window Service Centre include the following standard features:

  • Reinforced frames
  • Security glazing
  • K-glass and argon gas filled cavities in double glazed units to give a centre panel U value of 1.5w/m2K
  • Inline Espagnolette window locking mechanisms
  • Key locking handles
